Davis Colors Hoover Dam Concrete Parking Structure Project Using Davis Colors Concrete Pigments

Before the Hoover Dam parking structure was built concrete mock-ups with different colors and finishes were made. The final color chosen was Davis Colors’ Omaha Tan with a sandblasted finish.

The structure’s concrete is integrally colored to blend in with the surroundings canyon rock. As an added step to achieve the proper color blending, the structural concrete was subsequently sandblasted to etch its surface and reduce the sheen.

This is a photo of the side vies of the Hoover Dam visitor parking structure with the Hoover Dam in the background. The parking structure was colored with Davis Colors' Omaha Tan integral concrete colors.
